These guys attend a private school in Bhaktapur, Nepal and were taking a break while I was passing outside their classroom window. They were more than happy to pose for me and were even happier when they saw the pictures on the LCD of my Olympus. Kids are always fun to shoot.

These charming Nepalese ladies were attending a buddhist mass in the Monkey Temple, in Kathmandu. I felt that black and white conveys better the feeling of the moment, although it misses to show the beautiful red color of their dresses.

I was watching this woman for a few minutes when she turned and looked back at me. I was holding my camera at near eye level and was able to catch the moment. People in Nepal usually do not mind to have their picture taken, especially if you follow the click weigh a wide smile.

Some color…
Amsterdam is the world capital of bicycles. While on a short business trip, I had a couple of hours of free time before my flight back. I visited a local photo equipment shop and bought the Panny 20mm f 1.7, so I felt obliged to try it out. On my way back to the hotel, I crossed the red light district when I saw this bicycle against a wall full of graffiti. On my back there is window with a working girl.
I did some editing with Nik Software’s HDR software to produce this look.

It’s about 5pm in the Chora, Serifos, very hot and this guy is drinking his beer in a small cafe. He was not very happy to have his picture taken, but I has happy that he was not happy because I love the way he looked at me. I waved but he did not smile back. Check the beer that sits on the wall rest, not on the table. Go figure…
